Wow, I can't tell the difference.  :P  Good move if it saves $.  Let the savings be passed onto the consumers.   :rofl2:

The difference if obvious in the word "Golf" but I'm sure 98% of the people that read it will never know it ever changed. There are some people out there that get really excited about fonts....I'm not one of them.

I get pretty excited about typefaces...studied type design in art school even.

It's normal to have a corporate font family for more astutely managed brands. Deep pocketed companies will have their own typeface designed, Apple is well known as an early adopter of disciplined use of typography.

Good fun but pretty narrowly geekish.

I like how typefaces/fonts add to the message/branding.  In the late 90s, I planned my own wedding, and put together my own ceremony programs and dinner menus with Publisher.  I wrestled for weeks with the font!  It was a fun exercise.

This VW change, however, is so minute as to be exasperating.
