An interesting read - but somewhat hard to comment on.

Smart that Ford brings in journos to spread the word, though.

Good article. Glad to know that the Oakville plant is a zero waste plant as I live within a 15min drive.

Good to see that Ford as well as other large manufacturers realizing that being environmentally thoughtful can also have cost advantages.

The focus (no pun) here seems to be mainly focused on production. Some such as the Sweds approached the both production and end of life recycling. Some parts I'd rather not see easily biodegradable.

Vehicle fluids will be reduced with the increase of electric components such as power steering and entire electrical engines. They will require battery recycling infrastructure access.

Recently saw a documentary which mentioned the reduction of mercury used by vehicles and how they were the most hazardous product within a vehicle.

Kudos to Ford moving in the right direction.
