Yeah that deal is for Manitoba because you have competition.  Ontario not so much.

Quebec gets okay rates too.

The point is not everyone has unlimited data.  Even 5gb is not unlimited and they will rape you when you go over.

In EU you get unlimited for 10 euros

$10/GB when we go over.

So give up your current number and get a Manitoba plan.  Sure, you go through short term hassle of having to re-give out your number, but in the long run you'll save money.

Apparently all the MTS plans are 'unlimited' data.  I don't particularly care though, as I've rarely hit my 5GB ceiling, even with copious amounts of streaming.

A similar plan from Sasktel is $70 for 10G data, and basically unlimited talk, text etc.

Overages are 6¢/MB, but you get an automatic warning text prior to exceeding the limit.

The biggest problem with Rogers is their coverage. Leave the city and you might get a signal along the TCH, but there are huge chunks of the country without coverage.

That's true for Rogers in NB as well. Huge dead zones all over the province that are adequately covered by Bell/Telus.
