GLK looks like a worry-free used-ute bet.

Still one of the best looking imo of all the current and former cuvs that I can think of at the moment.  Interior room is a little tight, but probably ok for the two of us and it has excellent site outward visiblity and nice exterior dimesions.  A nice lightly used 250 Bluetec model would be my choice and may even seek one out when I go searching for a replacement for the Fusion next year.

A friend had one for a couple of years. The backseat is very small – no more comfortable back there than you would be in a Golf. And the interior on the pre refresh models looks super cheap.

But I agree, they look awesome. I don't like that the replacement is just another rounded CUV.

Agreed.  Surprised the owners praised the interior unless that was only for the refreshed models?  I've only ridden in a pre-refresh model.   Better than my WRX in there, but hardly nice.  GTI for example is MUCH nicer.

Otherwise a nice package, as long as you don't mind seeing one on every corner.

We have a 2010 (pre-refresh model). The door cards are what make it feel cheap. Other than that is objectively segment-comparable.

Oddly when we cross shopped it against the X3 at the time the X3 felt really cheap after sitting in the GLK for some reason. Don't remember why but I recall that was my immediate impression.
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

I remember when this thing was released, my wife was really excited about it, we actually went to the auto show so she could look at it. She saw the small size of the thing and the price they wanted for it.......yeah, no.
Lighten up Francis.....

I absolutely love this beast of nature, except for the interior centre stack - just felt so...old...to me.

But that's a seriously well-built machine if Pritch has trouble finding issues with its quality!

Agree on the poor interior quality too.  Cheap plastic, vinyl seat....  Outside does look very good with the 20 inch wheel.
Also make sure if both key start the car.  My friend's 2011 once refuse to start in winter,  And search online find that is a common immobilizer problem amount C,E and GLK.  $1800 to fix in the dealer.
