I like what I see. Not much Chinese influence here which is good!

I like it too. The above comment about the car not having too much Chinese influence is very telling about market perceptions.

The agency brief for the video is obvious: Focus on Swedish and Scandinavian sensibilities. Clearly the handlers are taking the Volvo brand back to Sweden which probably a great idea. Specifically a great marketing idea. Notice how many times Sweden, Swedish and Scandinavian are mentioned in the copy?

Agreed,

Swedish design fueled by Chinese money. Not a bad concept.

Put 4 doors on it, add AWD, a manual transmission and a turbo diesel power plant and we have a winner.   :rofl2:

I like it... just hope that they'll keep most of that stuff for a production car if they decide to build it.  That Tesla-like centre screen looks great!

and with volvo, you know that's exactly what they'll do! unfortunately, i'm sure some of the design will be lost... a shame as it is damn pretty as is. the four doors would be needed, and with this new architecture, that shouldn't be an issue... hopefully it doesn't change much of the silhouette, because it is lovely.

i'd love if it kept just some of those cool interior features.... hell, just give me the seat belts.

i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Looks great - like a big C30.  The "Concept ES" name and badging is a nice touch; a tribute to the P1800ES...

I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...
