I do like stylish cars, but I'd take drivability over style any day - hence my Subaru
Yesterday, I was exiting court on my way to the subway and saw a woman in a Grand Caravan - she had previously dented the front fender on the passenger side, but as I was walking on the sidewalk, she drove over it, nearly striking me, and taking off a chunk of her fender on an ice-bank.
I took a picture, called the police, and she was charged with careless driving. If she needs a vision check, driver's training, or shouldn't be driving at all, it's not for me to decide - but the consistent damage to her vehicle suggests that she needs to be assessed. The low front and inability for her to see out of a Caravan, which has decent sightlines, suggests that the masses cannot handle a visibility-compromised vehicle. I am 100% against many Hyundai products for that reason.
