but then again, i'm apparently one of the few on here that doesn't think the current gen is that bad looking of a car. generic, but classy.... for a sub 20k car at least.

Sure it looks good - they essentially copied others.  Who cares, though, Hyundai's been doing it for years, and it just seems to be helping them - can't blame them.

I think the biggest news here is the addition of AWD.  Now let's see if they can price it properly...

nah... i am more likely to rag on the cars i sell since i get to see their flaws...

and don't get me wrong, it's not a great looking car, but if it didn't come with the negative connotations of being a "chrysler 200" and was placed beside the cars that it actually gets cross shopped against (not that are in it's class)... i think it comes out nicely. i think it's nicer looking than the cruze, focus sedan, sentra...

but style is subjective... and it is true that i own and love my pacer. so anything i say should be taken as nothing more than an odd persons opinion.

Big improvement and miles better than the dog-eared current model. I never had any particular malice towards the current one, but it was way past its best-before date.

I would have expected the new 3.2 litre Pentastar, like in the Cherokee, and not the bigger 3.6.

The 3.2L and 3.6L are the same block; the 3.2L just has a shorter stroke.  It doesn't save any weight, but 'supposedly' would provide a fuel efficiency advantage at the expense of power output.  It's really only worth downsizing where fuel economy is the name of the game, or where engine tax rates are based on displacement.

If it saved weight, it'd make more sense to throw the 3.2L in the 200.

That's a pretty car, if you ask me. I can see the resemblance to the Dart given the common hard points. I suspect they'll sell plenty of these.
