Dodge Colt Advice
« on: December 11, 2013, 08:03:44 pm »
Hey guys, I've been looking around where I live and I cannot seem to find another Dodge Colt for the life of me. Anybody in the Calgary area own one?

I'm also trying to get some advice on what to do with it. It's a 1991 (88 body style) sedan Dodge Colt, 4 banger with a 1.5L engine. She has extremely extremely low KM's for her age and runs perfectly. I'm considering getting the engine swapped for something larger but I'm not too sure where to start for that.

Wow, welcome to the forum. A Colt eh, good luck, didnt think there would be a huge enthusiasts backing for those. Why do you need another car??
Lighten up Francis.....

I'm actually just trying to find others who drive them or drove em in the past. I honestly don't know too much about the car itself so I'm hoping to talk to people with experience working on em.

Ahhhh, ok, see if there are any Mitsubishi clubs in the Calgary area, maybe they can point you toward an owner.

I had an 83 Colt like this one.  1.4 with a twin stick 4 speed manual.  Great little car that got 50 mpg no matter how you drove.  Sad you never seen Colts any more.

Here is a nice parts car  :rofl2:

There was a rare turbo variant. You might be able to source an engine from JDM engine importer. Would be some electrical work to make the swap.
