I am guessing this is more aimed at Chinese cities to warn drivers of bad air quality.

Higher levels of CO2 could cause the driver to feel drowsy.
I think it would have been interesting to see what they could have come up with if they'd come to market with a C class/3 series sized car for less. I would have thought that would have been the logical place to start as that's where the volume is. Luxury=big seems to be old thinking.
