With a face like that they're going to have to do more than drop the price a little bit!  :hurl:

I completely agree. Same goes for the rest of Toyota's "butched-up" designs. They look clumsy at best.

Ewww.  I'll take a 1989 version, please.  Love the size of those old ones.

The 4Runner is a "real" SUV and is purposeful. I think the styling reflects the ruggedness and is fine IMO.

I have always respected it.  That front end looks like it's been in an accident.  The marketing says more 3rd row legroom, I wonder how that compares to the Highlander in terms of 3rd row space.  Little surprised that the 4Runner can't tow 6000lbs, as the Highlander can tow 5000lbs.  The GM triplets can tow 5200lbs, with the 3.6L, and they weight a lot too.

+1. I'd happily drive a Trail Edition.

Hmmm, I"m on the fence regarding the front profile.  I kinda like it, but would really need to see it in the flesh to see if my thoughts are actually true.

I finally clicked on the link to see the picture... Sweet Jesus is that thing ever horrendous!

IMO, a "real SUV" that is "purposeful" should look like it was designed to be useful: function over form and all that. This thing just looks like it's out of a bad cartoon.

What's the "purpose" of that front end? Better for eating space krill?

I think they figured they could do a bad imitation of mitsubishi's worst efforts.

That looks just plain bad.

i'm in the ugly camp.

to me, 2008 was the last great looking 4 Running.

I think it's also designed this way just to try and say "look!  Toyota isn't boring!!!"

epic failure.   maybe, hopefully... it'll look better in person?
