Pfaff Motors offered us a rare treat: a high-speed blast at CTMP in a McLaren MP4-12C Spider, a gloriously refined yet blazingly fast convertible.

I saw one of these in early spring of this year while on a trip to the farmers market in fredericton NB.  I don't think it was the spider though. It was sitting in the parking lot of a local bike shop.  It was that bright orange color and being early spring before any leaves were out made this car stand out like a sore thumb!  Suprisingly it had NB plates.  Funny that i didn't stop to look though!  I just didn't find it that interesting.  :-\

"...Extra Wheels with Winter Tires $8,530".....really, like this is your winter car !!

I think if you can afford this car, you are most likely putting it away come late fall and bringing out the Range Rover.

4.7 rating for a overall and a category? Is that the first departure from the either a 0.5 rating?

Nice job weaselling your way into a supercar-ish junket! It's nice to see autos.ca covering these cars, especially at Canadian events. Interesting that the Mclaren's performance did not rate a 5.0.

Or it could be for those that like to keep driving on the cold roads until the first real snow hits which around the GTA could be late December to early January.

This is again one of those vehicles that has done nothing for me. I respect the technology and engineering, but it doesnt have that head turning, jaw agape effect of a Lamborghini, the surreal and beautiful howl of a Ferrari....I dont know, for my $300K, this wouldnt be top 20. Whats a RUF Porsche going for these days???? Very well written article and good on ya for actually getting some proper drivetime with a bona fide supercar.
Lighten up Francis.....

Ha good catch, we don't support anything other than 1/2 marks with the stars.  But it prints the numbers, good thing I did my maths right on that tool.

The real snow days that come are just that...days. No longer do we get snow from Dec-March. Snow in the GTA is usually all but gone the next day. It's more about cold slippery pavement now and not so much about snow.
