Storing Radio Stations
« on: August 02, 2013, 07:15:40 pm »
I'm wondering how you folks choose what radio stations to store on your car radio.  My Sony has something called Best Tuning Memory (BTM) that will select strong signal stations and save them.  It works well in Winnipeg in that we have about as many FM stations as there are presets on the radio.

I've been thinking lately that saving all those stations doesn't make sense because I listen to, maybe, five of them.  There are three FM bands with six presets each on the Sony.  Should I select the five that I listen to and repeat them on the other two bands or continue to use the BTM?

I store the ones I listen to the most, and they all fit on the first band.  CBC, JazzFM, Q107 (for my morning drive only), NPR and BOOM.  But it's not like using BTM will slow down your car's engine from using too much memory, so it's a moot point, no?

What is this thing called radio you speak of?  :rofl2:

The only station I tune to is 680 News for traffic and weather on the ones.
