Under this special coverage program, for 2005 & 2006 model year vehicles, dealers will replace the steering column

Fine automobiles they are.  Resale values to match.  Those repairs will equal or exceed vehicle retail.   :rofl2:

Uhhh, I have to agree with you on that. That makes no fiancial sense whatsover......give the people a credit for retail value of their car towards a new GM product.....

well, at least give them the option.

someone driving an 8 year old domestic might not have the cash to get a brand new car.

plus, it sure as hell makes financial sence to GM. why give retail value for cars that they would still have to do the same work on prior to auctioning off at wholesale value?
