V/6 is coming in the stretched 7 seater in 2013 , expect that to be well above 40,000 . Way to much Hyundai  :nono:

Just looked at pics on InsideLine – The new Santa Fe looks great. Outclasses the new Escape design-wise...more grown-up interior too. IL seemed to like the vehicle after driving it...said it didn't lack power even at 8k feet elevation.

Hyundai keeps marching forward.

Way too much as compared to what other fully equipped V6 7 seaters?

Correct on the engines - the shorter wheelbase 5 seater will have the normally aspirated 2.4 or the 2.0T.  The 7 seater will get the V6.

What other 7 seaters would you compare it to that is loaded and under 40?

Wow, thats a nice design and seems like a lot of kit for the price.

It will be interesting to see the difference (if any) in towing capability with the V6 vs that turbo 4 when it comes out. Otherwise why bother with the 6? 274hp I would think would be plenty of power in a mid-size SUV.
My other Honda is an MP4-31!

I am just cheap , I cannot fathom spending 40,000+ on a family hauler.
If the 5 seat is  38, whats the 7 seat v/6 going to be?
45?

After my experiences with my '11 Sonata I wouldn't spend $$ again on a Hyundai.

The price is $26,499. The top end Limited has a MSRP of $38,499... but that's the top end.

I think the pricing is great. Part of the reason I bought the MDX Stateside is because a decent mid-size SUV didn't exist for under 40 (or 45-50) here in ON. 40 was the price of fully equipped cute utes.

This will be a big seller with families. Just watch.

Hyundai in their press event in Utah said that V6 will have more towing capacity than the 2.0T will.
Pricing, I'd guess $35-42K range, which would be pretty good for what you get.
