Thanks Las!
What's the drink of choice over there?

Wine/Sangria for the most part, Beer is not too bad either. You can get a decent Rioja region red like Campo Viejo (LCBO $12-$14) for about 4-5 Euros, IIRC. Booze is available in every corner grocery store  :)

Wine & Sangria are definitely the top drinks of choice over there.  I LOVE Spanish sangria!!  I got this recipe from a bartender in Sevilla and make it very frequently in the summer months.

1 bottle of red wine
1 shot of brandy
1 shot of triple sec
1 shot of Porto wine
1 shot of Martini Rosso
1 apple, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 quart of orange juice
1/2 cup of 7-Up
3 cinnamon sticks

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Trouble with Sangria is that it doesn't taste alcoholic.  Which in Euroland ( or Ontario) with the 50 ml dui restriction can get you into trouble before you realize it.

That looks like a good recipe. I presume that by Porto wine you mean Port ?
