Driving Between Trucks
« on: October 26, 2011, 11:34:03 pm »
The most insane motorcycle driving I've ever seen. In Brazil, which apparently has a LOT of trucks

Wow.  Hair raising.

However when we look at the stunts the driver pulled, we see:

Passing between two vehicles (most of which were many times his bike's size)
Passing on the right
Passing on the shoulder
Somehow cutting off drivers from behind who were trying to get out of the left lane (look for the truck signalling to enter the right lane after passing another truck) :o
Crossing on a solid white line

And all at speeds which are no doubt much, much higher than the speed limit.

The term that comes to mind is:  IDJIT.

My first thought was it's a good place to have a bike with all those trucks in the way .
I've split lanes between 2 big trucks before on a little ex 500 , its not hard to do nor does it take long .
The odds of the drivers closing the gap at that moment is remote as long as you are on a straight away .

The chances of a human (driver) error are that much higher. Getting away with it once is adrenalin, 100 times - luck, 1000 times,? - I doubt he will reach that number.
From his throttle control, he's not that skillful and probably wouldn't do all that well on the track. Somehow, he just managed to tuck his instinct of self preservation away, that's all. Idiot.

Man, that was ugly.  Assume that honking the horn somehow accomplishes something, and some of those spaces he squeezed through looked barely big enough.

At least being a biker, when he gets really ugly and dies, it's not as likely to involve others, he'll just be a smudge on the side of a truck.
