I read some articles about people having problems with their Honda Fit's frequently burning out the ventilation blower motors. And problems with the engine's valve adjustments.  Still, I could live with those, they are not huge problems.

if those are in fact known problems, i'd be concerned about them...i've never had a car burn out its ventilation motor, nor have issues with valve adjustments...you criticize the most obscure things, and give a pass to potentially legitimate concerns.

The Fit had a recall on the valve mechanisms - fairly major operation.  Maybe this is what is being referred to but it should have been fixed under warranty.  The GF had this done on hers and no problems afterwards.

Ventilation fan repair in most cars is a huge pain.  I wouldn't consider this minor either.  Also, if it fails in the winter, the car becomes undrivable under certain conditions.
