Those "compact" parking stalls seem awfully tight though.

Here's one from today -- news reports indicate the woman driver was trying to parallel park while on her cellphone and ended up across the sidewalk and backing through a store window. Sadly, a pedestrian was badly injured.

Or somebody doesn't want his/her sheet metal dinged by careless door opening of adjacent parked vehicles.

He/she probably has a good reason.

When some drivers learn the very simple task of how to open their car doors, more drivers won't have to park improperly.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!
A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!
A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

I dont' see what's so bad about that minivan pic? The driver didn't take up two spots, he just took up a part of space that can't be used anyways, so who is he hurting?

You don't him/her parking that thing anywhere near your brand new car, that's the problem, people like that give you nightmares.

What I was thinking as well. Furthermore, blow up the pic and that car in the adjacent spot is off to the left too much as well.

Looking at the purple banner "Shop at Don Mills"...that explains it all. Toronto!

What I meant was he probably parked like that on purpose because he wanted to give the people on the right side as much room as possible and figured why not use the space on the left since it's there. I don't think this is a case of someone who is too careless to park properly.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.
