They use to setup a big thing with hill climbs and such but apparently vehicles were being damaged. This year was pretty sad in that regard from what I heard. I spent my time on the track so I don't know. I do know the Touareg handled surprisingly well on the track!
On the other hand, I'd be interested to know how the AWD systems compare to each other, and how the vehicle generally performs under difficult situations (steep inclines, lots of snow/mud, etc.) Just driving around a 'cottage' trail is ridiculous and useless. Just shows how serious this CCOTY thing really is.

What I find pretty sad that vehicles get damaged by "simple hill climbs and such" tests.
I do believe the Touareg is still based on the cayenne, I did take the Cayenne on the track too and it was awesome.
