A car company can not survive on the backs of only two models, unless those models are premium/luxury models with huge margins.  Mitsubishi’s two bread and butter models are both at/or near the bottom of their respective classes.  It doesn’t matter if the Outlander and Lancer outsell their Subaru counterparts.  Compared to the Civic/Corolla/Mazda3/Sentra/Focus/Elantra/etc… the Lancer doesn’t even make a blip on the radar.  And really, would people shopping for a Rav4/CRV even know that Mitsubishi makes an equivalent?  Would they even consider it?

I predict that Mitsubishi will retreat from the North American marketplace much like Isuzu and Daihatsu did years earlier.  The writing is on the wall.  Get them while they last.

There is whole world outside of NA and Mitsu does relativelly well on other markets and where they have more offerings. Plus, they have a small footprint so selling less than Honda or Toyota doesn't mean much. We'll wait and see. I think if they were planning to leave, they would've done that  some time ago.
The trouble I see is they don't seem to be able to refresh their line-up fast enough.

When the page loaded and I've noticed the "2010 Mitsubishi Galant ES Test Drive" title, the only question I had in my had was "Why?".  This vehicle is completely irrelevant in today's market.  It seems that Mitsubishi as a car company is fading fast into oblivion.

People will buy it, as long as there is 0% Financing over 7+ years, and no checking the Credit history.

I think it looks alright, and is a decent vehicle.

Which people?  I just don't see these around at all.  I mean, I know they don't stand out, but I literally don't see them anywhere.

Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Both Mitsubishi dealerships in Winnipeg feature all USED cars on the front lot, and the new cars are located on the back and sides...  So a drive by of the dealership lets you see a bunch of other guys cars

It should have been redesigned a few years ago to keep on par with the competition. It's not a bad vehicle in base form, too bad the price is high for what you get.

I had one of these for a rental when someone tried to steal my 98 Acura EL. My 13 year old Acura is a hell of a lot more exiting to drive than this milquetoast mobile. Couldn't wait to hand it back and get in my car to clean the palette.
