My daily driver 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.7 V-8 has 260,000 kms..18.5 average mpg.Original motor/trans,nothing major went wrong with it,nothing minor either,no water pumps no fuel pump ect...never broke down at all....This new Jeep looks great ! A Hemi would be my bet as they are bulletproof reliable in trucks and cars..I also have a 06 Charger SXT 3.5 V-6 with 126,000 k,again nothing went wrong with it...Also own a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport ,obviously nothing went wrong, its new! My 2003 Dodge Ram had 170,000 k and nothing but tires, oil changes and gas ! I know people/family members with lower mileage/newer Honda/Acura's and head gasket, waterpump, timingbelt problems,Toyota well they have the most issues, steering engine sludge ect..I dont know where these people with Chrysler problems are coming from,I guess they bought them used.

I think Chrysler gets a bad name by uneducated people..Chrysler is Canada's second best selling brand..Also,In the 80's to 00's Chrysler used some 4 cyl and 6 cyl engines from Mitshubishi and those were garbage, and gave the minivans a bad name when powered by the Mitshubishi 3.0.Funny how people love the BMW Mini and it uses a 4cyl Chrysler Neon engine block !!

Cory,

If you've had as few problems with Chrysler products as you claim I'd rush out and buy a lottery ticket if I were you because you must be the luckiest guy in Canada ;)

I disagree.  We've been reading US magazines, and watching US TV for years with their advertising of MPG.  Since when have we as Canadians ever gone to the grocery store to buy a "gallon" of milk or water.  We've always used litres when it comes to liquids.  We buy our gas in litres, the Americans in gallons.  Don't tell me that car companies in Canada aren't using MPG in the imperial form in order to trick us.  We don't use miles as a measurement, so why would they use Gallons, even if it is Imperial.  They don't advertise it as KPG. What's next, using quarts but in Imperial?

??? You do know Canada's only been on the metric system since the 1970s...?

Yes I DO know.  SO why then are they advertising MILES per Gallon?  It makes no sense.  It's as if they're using the american numbers, but using the larger Gallon so that the mileage is higher.
There's a Canadian Ford commercial for the F-150 that says it gets 29 MPG.  Really?  In the U.S the same truck gets 20 MPG.  Why the hell are we even talking about miles in Canada.  It's stupid and misleading advertising.

Let's face it, L/100km is pretty well known now, but I would figure that there's a F-150 buying demographic out there that uses MPG... and from my experience the gallons would be Imperial.

Maybe for the Fiesta commercials they won't use mpg ....

Don't tell me you've never bought a "quart" of milk or "gallon" of paint.  It's not like those measures are foreign...
