YIKES!!! How about fixing the web encoding?  Reading the article is ergonomically tough on the eyes.

This is an overpriced, and painful to look at thing......

I don't want one.

I found this article hard to read - visually and logically. Continually comparing this vehicle to the flex doesn't make sense. The Flex starts around 30K and yes if you load it up it can reach just over 50K. I am going to guess that this high end vechiel does not have the same audience as the family focused Flex at 30K. But then again I'm not an automotive journalist.

This vehicle is a Flex with a different body.  There is no difference here except the outside looks and some trimmings on the interior.  It makes sense to me to compare the two. The Flex has more useful space is just as luxurious and offers nearly the same features (except self-park and a few others) and as you stated can be had much cheaper.

Some wider angle photos to give an idea of what the interior actually looks like would have been helpful.

The Flex offers "self-park", it's called Park Assist. If you have been in both of these vehicles, the space is completely different. The Lincoln is swoopy and infringes on the 3rd row real-estate. The Flex is (granted) more or less a box so the dimensions are better laid out. I know I compared both carefully and in detail.

I just purchased a Limited Flex with Ecoboost. I ordered it on Jan 9 and I have been told not to expect it before Mid-April. Yea that sucks, Ford is doing soemthing right, obviously, just not with the delivery times. The Flex is as luxurious as the MKT at a signficant price differential...

12 weeks delivery from date of order is not out of line at all...in fact, for Ford that's pretty much standard.  I ordered my car mid-August and I picked it up November 15th...almost 12 weeks to the day!
