Avensis or Camry

Video of the redesigned Toyota Avensis.
Would Canadians prefer this to the Camry?

It is  a bit less Buick like. A bit smaller that a Camry and comes as a wagon... what's not to like.

All the above probably would lessen its popularity. I suspect it would turn out more expensive as well.

Yeah I like. I bet it drives more European (less floaty) also.

I also like the Auris, looks like a nice hatch.

Why does Toyota deny us these excellent European models?  ;) :P

I like the Avensis.  Its the right size for a mid-sized family car...and the wagon version would be great to have as an option.  But I tend to swing more towards the Euro sized vehicles although the larger sedans have their place too.  I'd like to have my cake and eat it too...and have both.  If the Camry gets any larger they might as well wipe out the Avalon.

Looks good, but I can't really get a handle on how big this is compared to the Camry or Venza.

In the flesh they both look close in size.

Interesting....I'll be renting a car in Ireland this Summer and the Avensis is one of the options that keeps coming up.(Although I suspect it might be a little big for country roads)

It looks like some type of hybrid between a Venza and a CX-9.

I saw a ton of Avensis' pretty much all over the country.  It seemed to fit just fine actually.  The country roads are more of a problem for the tour buses :)

The Avensis has never been a big volume seller. Still makes a great used buy in the UK if need a big car and you don't live in London.  :)

How is the car they have in the UK not relevant to the question "would you rather have the car we have here or the car they have in the UK?"
