^^^ You must be new around here  ;D

Didn't you know it was because ALL cars get stuck in the snow so you need an AWD SUV to get to where you are going.  :P

You f*cker.  I have broken ribs from a ski fall and now I'm in SERIOUS pain from laughing so hard.  You're on the hook for a handful of T3's...

Well, John and others may not like these types of vehicles, BUT BMW does sell a lot of them and the X3; and the vehicle that has kept Porsche profitable these last few years is the Cayenne. Now Ferrari is talking of producing a type of Crossover/SUV thing (saw a pix on another site recently).

Like them or not, see the utility of them or not; they seem to be here to stay (at least until gas/diesel goes back to over $1.50/L).

I couldn't even bring myself to check the link of the Ferrari SUV.  Tell me it's a joke, please.

Yes, BMW sells a ton of those things.  Every morning the gym parking lot is filled with them, driven almost exclusively by leathery, fake-tanned, underweight women with giant puffed-up lips and fake boobs.  God only knows why they think they need one of those overweight resource wasters, but heaven forbid they don't have the "right" something.

The article on The Truth about Cars was dead on.  We need gas taxes and we need them soon.  Canada and the US should be implementing a phased-in tax that will raise the price of gasoline to $1.50-$1.75 within the next five years.  The ex-trophy-wife crowd might not care, but you never know.  A friend of mine is a Bay Street lawyer and has watched his income go from $800K to $90K in the last 12 months thanks to the market crash and rapid economic decompression.  He might start to care about the price of gas.

Check it out, a X5 parked next to a ML. They are both about the same weight so it is OK. ;D

You're right! Let's all drive Toyota Yaris's... afterall, anything more is useless and stupid. Yes, one car for all! Let's stop the variety that this free market system brings. Who needs choice when everyone could be driving the same thing?!

Nah the Yaris is too small, light, underpowered and feels like a tin can . I like more road-hugging weight with a "command seating" position in my vehicles.

John - "I couldn't even bring myself to check the link of the Ferrari SUV.  Tell me it's a joke, please."

No joke, but maybe Ferrari will back off it now that the global economic scene is gloomier. Don't know? Bit of a travesty, right?  :P
