GMH-Australia have been notified by Pontiac that they dont want the G8 Utes or Sportswagons that were planned for the American market this year due to the financial crisis.
  How surprising.

Agreed...no surprise.

Can you whisper in their ear to put a stick into the G8 V6 sedan BECAUSE of the economy?

Oh...and a lighter interior would be good too!

The cost of EPA certification for a manual V-6 would hardly be economical, especially when one considers the few units that will be sold.

Well, they did it for the CTS...in spite of your correct argument that it would not be economical.  I think the CTS has earned that investment back in street cred...and the G8 could have used the same if they made them available at launch.
