Adding Bluetooth?
« on: September 03, 2008, 01:28:24 am »
So, my old man recently picked up a Honda Ridgeline.  This truck is loaded, including Sat Nav, but strangely, Honda decided not to offer Bluetooth...  now that my dad has a new cell phone that's BT capable, he's interested in a Bluetooth adapter for the truck, so he can go hands free.

I've seen some that plug into the cigarette lighter and act as a speakerphone, but does anyone have any personal experience with this sort of thing?

He's not into the headset thing, and it needs to be something simple...  I'm thinking a cigarette-lighter powered speaker with a screen for call display?

(And yes, I know driving and talking on the cell is bad, so spare the lectures, please!  :))

I had the Motorola thingy in my Xtrail, works really well.  Clip to visor, one button operation to answer, good quality sound.  I can't stand those ear clips, they look sooo stupid.
