Here is the replacement list for Irv Gordons 2.6 million mile Volvo P1800:

...Brake rotors have been replaced once and the rear drums are still original...


I've heard of people getting 200,000 km on brakes before...but just doesn't seem possible.  does he drive the thing or just put it on a dyno and run it?

I've heard of people getting 200,000 km on brakes before...but just doesn't seem possible.  does he drive the thing or just put it on a dyno and run it?

They could be doing mostly highway driving with manual transmission.  I have over 100000km on my front brakes and still lots of pad left.   Isn't it usually 3 front changes before 1 rear drum change?

If I remember correctly he did a lot of dailey driving in his job whivh took him up and down the coast a lot. Its still a remarkable feat tho which is nice to see.  :)

They are getting that on Prius'.  The taxi Prius cars too!! 
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...
