There were and are no problems with the tailgate on Tundras.  It was all internet crap.

Ah, so anecdotal evidence of reliability and durability is pure gold when it's good for Toyota, but "internet crap" when it isn't?  How convenient.

I agree.  The GM trucks have better styling.

This seems like a wise move by Toyota.  Why manufacture a product in a volume the market cannot support?  This would be the epitome of muda.
