Looking toward a $30,000 electric sedan in 2012.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Do you think all cars will be electric?
Absolutely. In 30 years, a majority of all new cars produced in the United States, perhaps worldwide, will be electric. And I don't mean hybrid. I mean pure electric.

... wow ... electric avenue in 30 years.

I think what they've done so far is fantastic.

 :iagree:
As I understand it, they had problems with the two speed transmission, which they dropped. The re-worked single speed and more powerful motor and controller give the same performance as the previous two speed set up.

For any car to actually make it to production is an amazing accomplishment, let alone something like this.

For the $30K sedan, they are looking for partnership with one of the majors.

Have they actually delivered cars to paying customers yet?

 So in 30 years you have to transfer all the energy consumed by fossil fuelled internal combustion engines to an electrical power grid?
