Just guess-timating...Did about 32000km in the first year, around 8.9 L / 100km. So 2848 litres.

Multiply by an average of say 1.25 a litre and I paid $3560 for gas last year. And today I gassed it up at 1.45 or so for 91.

Much less this year. But that just means less money to Exxon and more to the insurance cos.

That is after income tax money as well. Pre-tax and deducted as expenses is somewhat less hurting on the wallet.

I use about 20L per week, = 1040L/year. Thank God I have a short commute, less than 10 minutes. At about 13,000 km/year, I figure I'm getting about 12.5km/L or around 32MPG combined city/highway driving.
