I kind of like the exterior, especially the rear end, but the interior is ugly. Even form the pictures it screams Caliber grade hard plastic.

So is this the PT Cruiser's replacement for the Dodge brand?

I thought that Chrysler announced that the PT Cruiser would stop production in 2009.  I've even seen online petitions to save the PT Cruiser.

From the pictures it seems like a mid-size CUV, but I read and article quoting Dodge representatives that it will compete with Escape, RAV4 and CRV. It must be smaller than it look.

The Calibre I had as a rental (briefly, as I made them take it back) was  IMO. I hope Chrysler does better with this vehicle.

Let me guess the CVT ruined the car? I should Imagin It would be lovely without the CVT, I really like the combination of distinctive features.

What we noticed were:
- Interior was really pretty cheap (compared to current year Focus and Cobalt I had driven before)
- Visibility was not good.
- Handling was bad
- Front wheel started to make a concerning noise after we got it

I think this crossover looks handsome. And the interior room (e.g. hatch area) looks good.

Can't stand the nose on that thing.  It might work on a beefy pickup but it looks completely out of place on a passenger vehicle.  My 2 cents.

Inside has lots of room; certainly in the Pacifica class by the photos.

Love it in red.  Especially from the rear 3/4 profile shot.  Those early evening light photo shoots really bring out the reds on vehicles.

To put it in golf terms…a chunked shot with a bad slice into the 10” fescue.

It should 'crossover' to the drawing board for a redesign.  :P

I saw a Journey CRD advertisement in my newspaper today and saw they're available with dual clutch gearbox... Probably just a borrowed VW's TDI+DSG combo, but still, it's the first american car with such a transmission, or am I wrong?

They're not available over here with a dual-clutch gearbox.  Here, you get your choice of a 2.4L inline-four gas engine and a 3.5L V6 gas engine.  Transmissions are traditional automatics, either four or six speeds.
