I'd threaten them with something like "ooooh i'll switch to TD Meloche Monnex!" but in reality, all the other insurers want $3k-$4k. They are by FAR the cheapest.

However I would like to know what happened, at very least. :-\

Being 22 years old is not good for car insurance rates. :o

Better if you're female.  :)

We can buy plenty of domestic cars at invoice +2% though :P

You say that like it's unusual...  :P

I still pay close to $2200 for the Camry and 30+, what are you complaining about eh?  :P ;D

We must live in the same general location, it's costing me $1600 for the Mazda3 and I just turned 40.  1500 bucks sounds reasonable for a 22 year old and a TSX.

My renewal came this week - $1320 per year for the Acadia and I thought that was high. Well compared to Wing's it is, but to others - not. Still it's probably wise to shop around and get a reality check. I'm going to try out Bel Air Direct's site.

I have both the house and vehicles on the same policy, Both went up this year which surprises me as I am 6 star rated and certainly over the younger ages. For my 1991 Fleetwwod alone they want $985.00 per year, my truck won't be out until April sometime probably so that will be on top of that at that time as well. It was around $700. for the year last year by itself which is seasonal only. Usually about 7 months or so is all its out of the barn. You have to rmember that our Gov oversees them and allows them to do this at will if they haven't made enough Billions for last year alone. Our Gov is just as sad as the Insurance Co's and just as dishonest as well for letting them do this. :)

The Ontario provincial government gets their cut in the form of the provincial sales tax, n'est-ce pas?  Tax revenue is directly proportional to the premium charged.
