About 3-4 years ago, we bought a little 1500sq.ft townhouse in Mavis/Derry area in the low 200s. Close to 401/407, airport and Heartland. It opposite to the Meadow Village whatever it's called. I think you can still find townhouses under 300k in that area. But you'd have to factor in condo fees which is always on the rise.
There's always Georgetown or Milkton. If you can swing it go for Mineola Drive W by Port Credit.
