Totally had no clue that this vehicle was coming out.
I thought the discontinuation of the last generation C sport coupe was world-wide.
Did like they continued sales in Europe?

Think it was withdrawn from the US one year before Canada, but continued/s in Europe.

I never had a problem with it.

I never particularly liked the old one, but I'm a little enamored by the new C class sedan, so I'm interested to see the new coupe.  A little disappointed its on the old platform, but if what Mercedes says is true, it shouldn't make much of a difference.

Anyone know anything about the quality coming out of Mercedes' Brazil plant, though?

I test drove a C320 model with Sports bits, and it seemed like a very capable car, if a tad overpriced.  Used ones have low prices if it's your cup of tea.  I could never get over the rear-end styling.  The new one looks much better.

Nice looking from the outside--definitely nicer than the 1-Series IMO.  Shame about the dated dashboard.

I can't figure out which of the engines would be available in North America:

Quote
The lineup begins with a pair of supercharged 1.8-liter inline-4s — the entry-level CLC180 Kompressor is powered by a 143-horsepower version, while the CLC200 Kompressor is powered by a 184-hp iteration.

The next step up the ladder of performance leads you to the CLC230 with a 204-hp 2.4-liter V6. Finally you get to the CLC350 with its 272-hp 3.5-liter V6, and this is enough power to get this car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.3 seconds on the way to a top speed of 155 mph.

Maybe just the 230 and the 350?
