Why do I feel new Lexus IS250 is much smaller than BMW 325?

I am not tall at all but I coudn't even fit myself in the middle seat of the rear seats in IS250. The interior of BMW 325 is much more attractive.

Well, the middle rear seat is useless, and there isn't much headroom.

I disagree about the interior, the Lexus looks more like a sports sedan should, more like a cockpit. The new layout of the 325 is a big step backwards from the E46, it reminds me of my father's old Buick

Has the 3 series grown? My Suzuki Esteem has more passenger room than my buddy's 2003 3-series. I offered to swap him, even-up, so that he could enjoy the spacious comfort of the Zuki, but he thought it over and turned me down.
