Best Winter Tires for Honda Prelude
« on: October 11, 2005, 11:09:52 pm »
I'm looking for a set of winter tires for my 2001 Honda Prelude.  195/60R15 tires.  Toronto, Ontario.  Mix of city and highway driving, as well as the occasional snowboarding trip up north.

Should I go for H rated tires, or is it safe to go down further to a T rated tire.  (OEM is V rated)

Here are my choices:
Hankook W300 (apparently they no longer make the size that I'm looking for.  Can someone clear this up for me?)
Hankook W404 (but these are studded so I am not so sure about them. )
Kumho KW17
Pirelli Winter 210 Snowsport
Michellin Pilot Alpin PA2

The last two are more pricey than the Korean brands so I would rather not get them if the performance of the Korean ones are comparable.

Does anyone have experience with these tires or other similar ones that they could recommend to me.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
