I know for a fact with Honda you can hold off until the end of the third year for an extended warranty.

The sales people/business manager make commissions on extended warranties so don't rush into anything until you check with Mazda.

You can stall it with Toyota also.
2022 Mazda CX-5 Signature Turbo in Snowflake White Pearl
and
2012 Toyota Camry SE V6 in Alpine White

You should do a search on this site under "extended warranty." I think there was some discussion around this recently, including what to look out for. As Artic and Ovr pointed out, you might be able to put off this decision and shouldn't feel rushed into it. Extended warranties are often a good idea if the long term reliabilty of a car is uncertain (concerns about Mazda trannies have recently come to light), but your own comfort level is also a consideration.
