A fresh half hour review, drive and discussion with a Lyriq's chief(?) engineer:

- Jay Leno's garage.

I'm very impressed with it. Will have to see it in person and maybe something smaller from Cadillac will one day make it to my bucket list.

I did put a refundable deposit of $100. on one. On the local dealer waiting list I'm number 66! possibly a delivery in 2024. Who knows, maybe then I will be ready to trade in the Mach-E?

I love this thing....it's a nice, comfortable crossover that just happens to be an EV.

I agree, and more realistically priced for a premium brand than has been the case with EV's.  I was a little surprised watching the video that it's a more conservative (not sure that's the right word) look than I was picturing based on the early pics, but it's not a knock, it fits well as a Cadillac and does look premium.

My parents have been loyal Acura customers the past 5 years or so, but they're pretty keen on the Lyriq when they watched a few Youtube reviews.  I think the Everyday Driver guys got right, saying this is what Cadillac really needed....a vehicle that re-focuses them on what they have historically done best.  It's just a really, really nice vehicle that's probably everything your stereotypical Lexus RX buyer is looking for.

Yeah, I always get the feeling the RX is the Cadillac GM never built. Big, solid, quiet, luxurious boat

They should have stopped at the door handles though. The electronic ones in the new NX get the same complaints the Lyriq is getting

I still can't get by that front end, nice  looking unit  but  needs the front-end toned down and less of a light show

Agreed, that’s my main negative about the Mach-E, stupid door system.  >:(

If the pricing on that smaller one is as competitive as what is being advertised for the Lyriq, they will sell those by the boatload.
