Nissan Qashqai new Euro version... are we getting it????
« on: January 08, 2023, 01:57:09 pm »
What a crappy name for an SUV.

Regardless I was wondering if anyone knew is the new Qashqai is coming to Canada. The Nissan Canada site only shows the 2022 version. I stumbled upon some U-tube stuff on this new one and it looks real nice. Sure hope we get it!!!!

1st I posted this in wrong section. This is an SUV.

Yes it is the Rogue Sport in USA. I read that this new model will not be sold in USA. It is called the Qashai here.

I LOL's when he said "Big family SUV"  :rofl2:  Isn't the Qashqai like...wee like a Rav/CRV?  Smaller?  Silly Brits... ;D So cute...*

*yes, I know...they (still) drive on roads built by the Romans a dozen centuries ago...2 chariots wide...2 Qashqai's would be almost impassable. Impassible?  Impossibly impassable? Impassably impassible...could go either way.

I do not think there were too many Romans in Britain.  :rofl2:

But yes Britian and Europe function very differently when it comes to cars. Cost of fuel there is sky high. Roads and parking spots are tight. Having traveled and driven in Europe I can tell you their focus is not on driving behemoth SUV's with 380 horsepower and 400 pounds feet of torque. Thier focus is more or less on small hatchbacks. Unlike here, the cost of diesel is cheaper there. So diesel is quite popular.

I have rented cars from local garages in Italy. The cars I have rented are not speedsters. I suspect the first car (Fiat Panda) I rented did not even have 60 horsepower.

All that being said. In videos I have seen this SUV competes with Tuscon. I think it may be 178 inches long. Because of size I suspect it may not come here as it will compete with the Rogue.

How many is too many?  ???

There were enough to run the place for several centuries.

One of my cousins in England has a Qashquai, like you say it's a decent sized vehicle over there. Will be interesting what we end up with as it is getting dropped in the US

On the road situation, from what I understand the problem in Britain is not the Roman based roads, which were straight and wide for the most part, it's the cattle tracks that the medieval Britons travelled on after. Professional road building there had a 1400 year gap after the Romans left

Speaking of Romans, they've just discovered why their concrete has lasted until now, it self heals after cracking
