Thinking about it. Keep reviewing the for and against list.
Reasons for purchase:
Love the vert, but for the past few years I get my DERM DOC to spray my temples with freezing agent for pre cancerous lesions (sun exposure). Invisible to me, but she finds them. Spend a lot of time fishing on the boat. Even with a top, the sun's rays come at you from every direction on the water. Hence I only drop the top on the Mustang at dusk.
Obviously HP. Currently 300hp 280 Torque 355 lsd. In it's own right really good for the setup. Quick, but not killer quick.
2024 will be minimum 450 hp 410 Torque, same 355 lsd.
Inflation. Always a good excuse to purchase hard goods.
Reasons against:
The 6 speed Getrag. Great in my current car, but weak sauce in the GTs. 2022 Mach I comes with the Tremec. Apparently, solid. Same HP as this 2024 version so who knows. Still probably the Getrag. Requires more reading.
Still $65K for a well optioned GT minus whatever I can get for mine. Good year I put on 5K km. Seems less every year. I dunno. Keeping the dream alive for now.
Another excuse for purchase are the factory tires. Good For A Year, still decent tread, but ho so loud.
