Local dealer actually advertising some in stock!

Neighbor drives an older Outlander, he's been happy with it but the Nissan bones of this new generation give him pause

Mitsu has the best warranty last time I checked, at least on paper and also, wouldn't the PHEVs be coming from Japan? If that's the case I wouldn't worry about the underpinnings much. I would about the acceleration though  :-X

You view Mitsubishi as being more reliable than Nissan?  I tend to think at best they are equal, the major difference is Nissans budget and spending on this product is much greater than Mitsubishi and that has resulted in the best generation of Outlander in the last decade.

Their warranty is great,  it I think they are still not part of CANVAP (https://www.camvap.ca/participating-manufacturers/~english), which means your only choice for warranty dispute resolution is the court system.

9.5 0-100 isn't a racecar like the Rav4 Prime, but does it need to be? The existing Prius Prime is something like 12 seconds

Myself I totally agree on the Mitsu = Nissan thing

You're cherry picking (a bit).

0-60 is 12 seconds in pure EV mode.

In hybrid/auto mode, it's 10 seconds.

Which, for the record,  also isn't quick.    :rofl2:
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Guys, Motortrend stated 6.5 seconds 0-60, for comparison sake, they have the RAV4 Prime at 5.7 seconds.  Both those numbers sound a lot more realistic than 10ish seconds to 100kms/hr.

Yep.

I'm guessing the tester had it in one of the "weaker" drive modes.

David Booth tested the same vehicle earlier in the year and had 8 seconds to 60.

Speaking about fast accelerating electric vehicles, anyone else impressed with how fast that Kia EV6 GT?  What I read was 0-60 in 3.2 seconds.  Isn’t that near Nissan GTR accelerating numbers (early this generation).

I really like the EV6 GT.

Probably my favourite "normal" EV.

Too bad it's unobtanium from what I read...along with the usual market mark-ups.
