I'm a big fan of vehicles that have more space than their footprint suggests.  I really like these, and glad someone is bringing something different and funky to the market.

Yup, like the Mazda5, right?  These kinds of vehicles are perfect for families of 4/5 running around town.  Flip the 3rd row down and you can do a hardware store / Costco haul no problem.

Exactly.  Loved my Mazda5 for that.

And it's no surprise I went Mazda5 into a Golf Wagon.

I would like to see and I know it would be impossible to do it for sale, a 2 litre air cooled 4 cyl in the back of the Buzz.

Or maybe the GTI engine in front driving either pair of wheels.

Such a good looking body wasted on an electric motor

It was always designed to be electric from the ground up. VW is going to change complete over to EV's in the next 10 years. EV's are not slow, most are very quick, loose your license quick. more than makes up 2 liter.

As someone who appreciates cars with a large cargo area to footprint ratio,I really really like this.

They should sell well for VW.

In the article:  VW electric offerings we're expecting to see mileage numbers around 260

Is it Kms or miles? Assuming miles as its a US article. If its Kms then it's very poor. I would buy this if it were available today

I think this is so cool and functional and practical, and the footprint/space ratio is amazing.

I'm far too tempted by this as a wagon replacement despite being single...

Yeah, looks like a win for Vdub. Nice to see they seem to have captured some of the retro after all

I once almost bought a Sienna due to the same exact logic  :D

I’m planning on putting a deposit on this when they open up the official preorder.
