Huh?  Looks like the current bar of soap with a spoiler.  ???
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

There's just no making people happy, eh?

Last gen Civic Type R comes out, and people complain that it's too edgy and overstyled.  So Honda listens, makes the styling a lot more conservative, and now all of a sudden it's 'boring' and a 'bar of soap'.

What the hell?  Don't forget, this will be a 300+hp compact sedan that will outhandle literally everything else in its class.  The styling is secondary!

There's a crowd of people who hated design A. There's a crowd of people who hated design B. There's only a handful of people who are in both crowds.

Pleasing everyone you mean? No. Also the Pope is Catholic.

But I'd suggest there is a greater likelihood of pleasing more people somewhere between the extremes of Autobot Sex Toy and '90s Corolla.

For example, see the Mazda 3 Hatch. Neither a forgettable blob nor an Origami nightmare.

Hard to say for sure with the camo, but I quite like it.

Take the overly conservative new Civic design then widen it, lower it, and add some aero bits.   Might actually strike the right balance of aggressive, but not origami-sex-robot, for most folks?   I'm optimistic based on these spy shots.

I really like the Civics, but they don't really fit my height. My friend once had an accident in a Civic hatchback and despite several rollovers came out with a small scratch on his arm, so the car is really tough.

I did joke with my wife about getting one.  Played like I was talking with the sales guy at the Honda dealer we bought our two vehicles from back in the spring.  She was really biting on that little lie, and was relieved when I told her I was just pulling her leg.

Looks like a great vehicle and a bit more grown up than the last generation.  If I was going to stick to just one vehicle for myself it would be high on my list, but I have aspirations of something a bit more special (waiting for the details on the next M2).

One things for sure, this will be the fastest FWD vehicle at almost every track and likely shame supercars from the 00's.

It looks really good and I like the increased torque.

I'm too old for this one though.   :'(

If I were shopping in this class I think it'd be at the top of my list over the Subie, Hyundai, or VW.    Mind you, if you can get one?   Can one get a Type R near MSRP even if willing to wait?

If I were 10 years younger may be a familiar refrain around here...   ;D

MSRP, in Canada you can get it at that price fairly easily by just calling around, you might have to wait a bit.  In the states, you'd have a really hard time trying to find a dealer willing to do that.  Considering the Si in the states typically has between $5K-$10K "market adjustment" on them.
