As expect, complete disappointment.  Take away the flashy colours and some upgrades interior bits and you got yourself a Civic.  Boring!

Same 1.5L turbo as the civic?

*yawn*

They will likely boost it to 220-230 hp, and will have issues with it. I will not be surprised if they make Integra Type R with a 2.0 turbo down the road.

This video WAS a treat, thanks. The video production impressed me too. Takes me back to when I had mine.

What Acura has brought out now is a disgrace to the legend, and their brand.

Past Integras were slick, lithe and shared no body parts with Civics. Here the awkward portions of the current Civic get a TLX beak for a most un-Integra-ted ensemble. Still, it's a sporty compact with a stick, so there's that. Reserving final judgement for full Canadian retail pricing, the ILX was already pretty dear in loaded trims.

Big meh from me too but I mean, this is just the base so far. Base Integras of yore were meh as well (1.8l 140hp, 0 torque  :rofl2:). Hopefully, future Type S and/or Type R versions do the name some justice.

Styling is subjective. To me, there are some nice styling cues but the overall proportions look awkward. But I thought the new Civic looked a lot better in person than in pics so who knows how this will be.

Good point.

I don't know.  They would have been fairly light cars, and by the standards of the day they would have been competitive.

This one is outgunned by all of it's competitors.  I guess it will come down to pricing.

Honda mills of that era made their power way up there on the tach, and they loved to rev. My 102 hp '95 Civic was a hoot to drive. It's all about that power-to-weight ratio. You don't need 400 hp to have fun.

Interesting to see pricing and I suppose that will determine its fate. A slightly nicer Civic with a better colour palette is worth something but perhaps not a huge markup unless an upgrade powertrain is offered later.

Yes, it will come down to pricing, final power and weight figures. We know the Si got a reduction in power but supposedly better power band. Regarding weight, yes cars today are heavier mainly due to safety standards but Civics are still relatively light weight compared to the competition. Though the Integra will likely weigh a bit more from the extra features.

The last integra was 400 lbs lighter than the 2022 Civic Si (2500 lbs vs 2900lbs).  Not insignificant.

That sort of weight and physical size gain is pretty typical in the last decade and a bit unfortunately. The MX-5 is about the only one that I can think of bucking that trend.

The thing is the new Civics platform and interior are very good, but the exterior styling and powertrain are not an improvement over previous generation and that generation wasn't exactly setting the world on fire (except maybe the Type R).

Why couldn't they spend the money and actually give the Acura a different body styling and I don't mean bumpers and grills.

I fail to see a reason to buy either.

Cross tour profile. I do not like it, it is a new CSX.

Another disappointing reboot. Acura should just give up.

I know that Acura is a sub-brand of Nissan, is there the same car in the model lineup of Nissan?
