^^ Lol. Good one. It has been a good car for us. If it was a POS I would have got rid of it long ago.

Is yours a 2012 or a 2013?

NM, see it's a 2012 in your sig.

Wowee - a 2016 Chrysler 300S (with the 3.6L V6) for $11 890.  A much bigger, nicer, and more expensive (when new) car than the Civic EX, and look what it has depreciated to.

Still wouldn't touch it even with Fob's ten foot pole, though.

Honda has never made a POS Civic - like, not EVER.  The criticisms of that model were more along the lines of Honda resting on their (well deserved) laurels and not doing much to raise the bar.  It seems Honda took those criticisms to heart and responded with one of the quickest refreshes in their history.  But the car was never anywhere remotely near to being a BAD car.  I have no doubt that owners would be well pleased with it, new or used.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Well that new one with the turbo that drinks oil like a Subaru seems to be a bit of a POS.

Yup - friends don't let friends buy that car.  Physical intervention is not too far a step to prevent that from happening.  Just so much NOPE!  :rofl2:

Anyone know how decent the Civic CVT's are?

The 2012 has the old 5-speed auto from the 8th gen, and it's known to be a very good transmission.  I'm less confident about the CVT in the refreshed model (2014+)

This one could be a contender, though.  Same dealer as the 2012.

EDIT:  Damn.  Sold.  They really need to do a better job updating their website.  They had a Mazda3 on the website we were interested in at first, but it was also sold.

Well, this is more of a buy/sell thread now.  Starting to suffer from a little bit of scope/price creep.

So my wife really, really likes this one they have on the website:

https://www.thecarstore.ca/vehicles/2016/honda/civic-sedan/winnipeg/mb/50222520/?sale_class=used

I agree with her.  10th gen Civic was a massive improvement over any of the previous generations, with more room and refinement.

Unfortunately, that one is sold (and still on the website).  They have another 2016 coming in, though.  grey exterior, black interior.  Full set of winter tires on OEM wheels.  Should be there in about a week.

My advice, don't stretch the budget on a depreciating commuter car like this. The older one will work just fine, and while the extra features are 'nice', the extra $5-7K in the bank or invested elsewhere is 'nicer'. YMMV

Kinda.  Had a verbal agreement with the dealer.  Told him we'd be back on Saturday to finalize everything.

Anyway, we DID go back to the dealer today.  Left with a car.  I really like these guys.  Third car we've bought from them, and I've sent friends to them, two of whom bought vehicles.  They treat us right.  Anyway, Show n Shine coming up.
