^^^Not true.  See last sentence of the original post.

Dammit!

Ah but the big question would what tire pressure to use 🙂

If it says 60PSI Max on the sidewall, that's what I'll set them to.

I don't know man, especially as a daily driver, if I would scrimp a few dollars rolling the dice on some sketchy ass, no name, wish.com tires. Its a Civic, the wheels are small, I just can't see the cost savings being that worthwhile.
Lighten up Francis.....

I went with Yokohama Avid Ascend GT last summer on my Saturn SW2. Not the cheaper but quite good quality/price ratio in my minds.

Cheap tires back on sale.  I dropped off the old tires/rims to get the new el-cheapo tires mounted and balanced.  Will come out to less than $430 taxes in.  Not bad for four brand new tires of the same type on all four corners of a shitty car.  The old tires were seriously bad.  Two were almost at the wear bars, and had cracks inside the treads.  The other two were mismatched and had more tread, but were also cracked, and one had a pretty nasty gouge in the sidewall.  All four tires were all cheap, no-name chinese tires to begin with, so these new ones aren't a downgrade, more of a sidegrade.  I'll swap 'em onto the car once all this snow is melted, so this weekend.

We'll be lending the car to my MIL this summer so that she can drive out of town and visit us at our campsite one weekend.  I'll feel more confident that she's on newer tires.  Actually, on second thoughts, maybe I should leave the old ones on for a few months more

I'm running Uniroyal Tiger Paw's on my car. Not the cheapest but they are still affordable. Got them from 4wheelonline last year, and traction and handling are still great. My only complaint is that they seem to wear a bit fast.
