Sure it is possible.

When I gave my V60 on trade, nobody bothered checking that I removed it from the app on my phone. I tracked it for 3 weeks or so and I could have remote started it, open and closed windows, unlock it etc. I did not, but I could.

When it was finally delivered to a new owner I erased it from the app.

I still have my IS 500 in the Lexus app. Can open/close doors, see its location at all times, etc. I haven't done anything, but I *could*.

I just haven't bothered to remove it. Plus it's cool to see that it's bounced through dealers all over the continent. Prices have fluctuated like crazy too.

I tracked mine going from the dealer to the auction, then to a dealer in Montreal and finally to the buyer north of Montreal.
