I really like the look of the grill and hood emblem. You can tell everybody you dropped 400K on the new compact Bentley GT.  ;D

x2 on what Jaeger asked. What were the other options it beat out?

Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

Aren't all trim levels equipped with real leather?  I know with many of the Germans, pleather is standard and the real stuff costs extra.  I thought the G70 came with real leather standard, and nicer (nappa) leather on upper trims.
i am pretty sure you are correct here.

Genesis/Hyundai/Kia also do vinyl on some base models.

G70, Telluride and Palisade for example.

Nice car! Looks very well-packaged and originally the brown leather was exclusive to Canada. I wonder which smart, handsome product manager made those decisions...  ;D

The base 2.0T Advanced has synthetic leather, but everything above has real leather. Elite is traditional grade with vertical quilting, Prestige and Sport have the Nappa leather with diamond-stitch quilting.

I hear he’s more than just a pretty face.

We considered another A4, a 330i, Lexus IS and for a hot second, the M240i.

The G70 has the best chassis, and I like the Genesis 2.0T more than the BMW B48. The Lexus IS doesn’t have CarPlay and the interior packaging is a bit too tight for my liking. The C 300 was off the table from the beginning; it’s a decent car but neither of us really “love” it. The 330i came close, but in the end it was the G70’s five year maintenance package, Genesis Connected Services, and the Genesis At Home that was appealing. I believe in the brand.

And by “we considered”, I really mean me. I’m lucky to have a better half that supports my often-crazy car hobby, and doesn’t limit how many cars I can have. Her only requirement is that she get a garage parking spot during the winter, and that her car has heated seats. Also, she likes white cars and non-black interiors. This is that, so the rest was up to me. I think she’d be fine with a stick (she drives the S2000 around a bit) but I don’t think she’d really want a manual for daily commuting. So in theory it’s probably a bit overkill for our “needs”, but what the heck... she deserves it.

I agree,  I want a tan/brown leather interior in my next car, but they all really limit what exterior colors it will come with

Keep us posted.  By FAR most of the press ink on the G70 has been spent on the 3.3t, so I'd be keen to hear about how this one does over time.

I don't foresee having it more than a couple of years. The discount was good enough on this one that even with the horrendous early depreciation curve seen on these things, I may not lose much. This would be if a kid comes into the picture... a rear-facing carseat would be seriously tight in one of these. Mrs. Vantage is 5'4-5'5 and more leg, and I'm 6'0-6'1, so it's not like we can really move the seats too far forward.

I'm having dirty, dirty thoughts for my next daily driver so you never know...  :rofl2:

Congrats on the new ride! I love the int/ext colour combo. Is that pearl white?

Yeah, Uyuni White is a very pearly white. I saw it yesterday at night for the first time under a soft streetlight and it really does look great.

Disclaimer: I hate white cars, typically, however it's what she likes. It does look quite nice in this case.

^^^ I think it is car specific. Like black looks great on luxury, full size cars (more often than not) but doesn't do any favours to a Yaris for example. For the G70 plain white might not do it but this pearl white is outstanding IMO ( I may be biased though  ;) )
