Aston Martin SUV? - DBX
« on: November 20, 2019, 02:08:15 pm »

Price: $190,000 USD

"Under the hood, the DBX gets a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, making 542 horsepower. It's the same powerplant as the DB11 and the Vantage, and it yields a 0-62 mph time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 181 mph, Aston said. The DBX has all-wheel-driver and nine-speed automatic transmission,"

"The DBX is also getting some special packages. They "will tailor the car even further to customers' needs, sports or pastimes," Aston said. A pet package has a dog washer, and a Snow package has a boot warmer."

I don't know gang. Are super car companies diluting their brand by building all these SUVs?

they want to sell vehicles...these are the vehicles consumers are asking for...you have to make what the people want or you won't be in business.

we say that... but Ferrari does pretty damn well profit wise... all depends on the direction they want to go. is it better to sell more cars than everyone, but make a few hundred bucks a copy, or to make 10k, but make 50k on each?

risk vs reward.

Man, the normally gorgeous Aston design language does not translate well to an SUV.  That gaping maw is horrible.

but these brands do both...it's likely a lot of their potential customer base is asking for these types of vehicles, so that is what they are making...they will sell the sports car/sedan for $250,000 to the person who wants that, and also sell the CUV for $200,000 for those who want that....win win.

In many cases they are able to sell one of each to the same family.
