It was recently announced that the Nissan Qashqai will get revised front fascia and rear tail lamps for the 2010 model year, along with additional option package content.

"Sherman, set the Wayback machine to 2010 so we can see the new front fascia on the Nissan Kumquat" ;D

I so don't understand why someone would pick this over an Altima.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

"With the long laundry list of standard and optional features included at this price point, I can’t imagine what else you could expect to get for the money."

Then sir, you lack the slightest hint of a basic imagination most folk are born with. $35.5K for this bucket? For that outlay, you can get a CX-5 with all the electronic nannies, LED headlights and 45 more horsepower without a CVT to ruin things. The Qashqai is best sampled at low spec, and then you can get a Kicks for even less. No wonder Nissan is on a downslide.

"The power of an SUV, the agility of a car" intones the voiceover on TV ads. That is Nissan's ludicrous tagline for this thing. With a spine-tingling 141 hp and a CVT, it couldn't spin its wheels in snow. Motor Trend had to have theirs towed out of 2 or 3 inches of sand - the engine/transmission couldn't even turn the wheels! That's the power of an SUV.

As for the lugubrious nattering about the name Qashqai, that was news more than two years ago, not now. Only the Americans get to call it Rogue Sport - everyone else around the world is presumed sophisticated enough to "get it".
